WE'VE LANDED! - NOVEMBER 2025

We are so grateful to share a quick update from Cape Town. As we write this, we’re amazed that we’ve already been in South Africa for nearly three weeks. In many ways, coming back feels both beautifully familiar and—at the same time—a major life adjustment for each of us. The pace, the rhythms, the landscape, the people… it’s all stretching us in the best ways.

One of our biggest praises is that we were able to sign a lease for a rental home. Housing in this city is extremely competitive, and honestly, the fact that we got a place feels like a miracle. We are deeply thankful and know it will be a wonderful home for our family to settle into. The only catch is that we can’t move in until February 1st, so we’ll be hopping between temporary accommodations for the next couple of months. Even in the transition, God has given us grace, peace, and provision.

 

What We’ve Been Up To

Life has been very full—in the best way:

• Helping the boys settle in (and yes, they’re fully equipped with surfboards!). Tristan has joined a local baseball team and is loving getting back into the swing of things.

• Reconnecting with our Hope Africa staff and dreaming together about the next phase of expansion.

• Visiting local ministries in the townships, building relationships, and letting the boys get climbed on by a swarm of smiling kids at a crèche—one of their highlights so far.

• Connecting with other kingdom leaders in the city who share a heart for revival and reformation.

• Gathering regularly as a team with the amazing revivalists who have moved here with us—contending in prayer, listening for God’s heart, and laying the foundations for what He wants to build.

 

How You Can Pray With Us

We are leaning into God’s faithfulness in several areas and would love your prayer covering:

• Finances for a vehicle (a major need for life and ministry here)

• Repairs to our house in California (our tenants accidentally drove their car through the front wall)

• More financial partners to join the support team (we are still believing for an additional $2,000/month to be sustainable here)

• Wisdom as we lead, pioneer, and plant this ministry

• A Holy Spirit outpouring in Cape Town, our beloved city

 

Why We’re Here

More than anything, we are here to dig up the ancient wells of revival in this land—through contending prayer, radical love, and humble obedience. We’re here to serve, to listen, to build family, and to plant an apostolic hub that exists for one purpose: to see Jesus exalted and His presence transform cities, townships, and nations. We believe God is writing a story far bigger than us, and we are honored to pour our lives into the soil of Cape Town.
